This itinerary will take you from the lake to one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Adige Valley. We start, as usual, from Garda and, along the classic and beautiful Valle dei Molini, we take up to Costermano from where we cross the flats of Caprino along some stretch of cycle path, white roads and path up to Zuane. Here we cross the intersection of the state road in the direction of Brentino and immediately turn left towards the “Bicigrill”. Here begins the uphill path, with short very technical passages, that over 40 hairpin bends is leading us to the Forte of San Marco, a beautiful fortification built between 1888 and 1913 by the Italian Royal Army to defend the border with Austria-Hungary. Along the path, stop to admire the wonderful panorama towards the Caprino flats and the Ceraino’s lock in the Adige Valley. From the fortification, continue north and descend to Lubiara via a beautiful path, sometimes quite steep. We cross Lubiara (if can make a short detour to the monumental tree Platano dei Cento Bersaglieri) and along a country road we reach the built-up area of Caprino Veronese from which we take the bike path that soon brings us back to Costermano. We pass the morainic hill and take the path towards the Camaldolesi hermitage on the Rocca di Garda. At the capital just before the entrance of the hermitage we turn to the right and on an amusing path we reach the middle of the Rocca from which we go down to Garda where the tour is closed.
