A challenging but memorable tour that takes us from the lake to the Adige Valley and on the highest mountain roads of Mount Baldo. A haute route of Baldo by bike, one might say.
We start from Costermano or Garda where we bypass the Rocca along the lake and then climb the southern slope; on a hilly path we reach Rivoli and the Zuane where we ‘throw’ ourselves down in the Adige Valley. We follow the path of the Adige river northward up to Avio where a long and challenging climb begins which in about 20 kilometers takes us from the 130 meters above sea level of Avio to to the over 1600 meters of the Graziani refuge. After a well-deserved stop, we head south along the Graziani road that runs parallel to the Baldo ridge up to Bocca di Navene (stop for a view of lake Garda) and Novezzina where a long and exciting descent take us down to Caprino Veronese, from where we return to Costermano and Garda.
